I m using acer aspire e5-474g and i tried to update the version of windows 10 to version 1709 so when it was rebooting while at 63% it froze and wont go further,waited for a long time so i made a bootable disk of windows 10 version 1709 and installed it and when i was installing the drivers everything froze while installing the wifi driver so. Wireless driver not installing. hafis sayed jul 4, 2013, 11:36 pm. the acer utitlity provided in acer site identified my wireless adapter as atheros, so i downloaded the atheros driver from. Wlan driver will not install! :(akilgour1 jan 26, i’m not able to install a wlan driver in a acer e1 531 with vista 32; solved cant connect to wifi router (missing wlan driver).

Tested on acer aspire e 15 (e5-511) (laptop) works on all windows8/8.1/10 pc. problem: i clean installed win8.1 on my laptop, but the wifi driver is missing...it is totally no wifi and my pc. I have acer netbook at first it s shown wifi but its not connecting with mobile hotspot but now i downloaded atheros, broad com, intel drivers but i installed. later i dint find my wifi on notification bar also driver installed also have problem.. Today i got a phone call from a friend asking me to fix his laptop, he have an acer 5742z and the problem was his wifi, it’s wasn’t working. the first thing i did is check the device manager in windows 7, and i was right, the acer 5742z wifi driver was not installed..
